With pride and gratitude, we are launching our first phase in January 2021 with Preschool and Elementary school for children of ages 2 – 11. Our Middle and High School launches will follow within and before the year 2026.
Springdale International School is a private, independent day school designed to serve the educational needs of the international and selective local community in Dhaka. Our first campus is located in Gulshan, the prime zone for expatriates and the upper and upper middle class.
The school system is primarily based on inquiry-based educational principles. We create an academic and social environment that challenges students to achieve their potential, become life-long learners of beneficial knowledge, and contribute to a changing global society.
Springdale International School envisions being one of the prestigious, leading International Schools in South Asia through the efforts of experienced and talented teachers. We are in the process of recruiting our first academics team who will be exceptionally committed to our vision and our first group of students and parents.
Commitment beyond classroom
Involvement with students and other staff members in meaningful activities beyond the classroom is viewed as having a direct link to teaching responsibilities, mostly in the areas of interscholastic sports, curriculum coordination, and extra-duty activities. The willingness to extend oneself beyond the classroom will be an important factor in the recruitment of our staff.
Extra-Duty
An instructional activity which is a direct extension of an academic program and may include competition with other schools and/or a major school production/publication, i.e. Yearbook, School Plays, Student Government, etc.
Supervisory duty
Periodic or occasional supervision or club duty during the school day requiring no preparations outside of school.
Continuous Professional Development
Our teachers are expected and encouraged to stay updated with trends and leading edge practices in education as well as to grow as professionals through their daily interactions with peers, ongoing professional reading and attendance at workshops, conferences, and courses. In doing so, they model for their students the behaviors they want them to emulate as lifelong learners.
Any teacher individually participating in professional development outside SDIS or overseas must provide a workshop/seminar to the faculty upon returning..
Well being
SDIS cares about the well being of all staff and celebrates “what we do well” on a regular basis. When staff joins our team, they become a part of the SDIS family where they build positive relationships and take care of each other.
