Annual and Cultural Events

Springdale International School has a vision of developing a rich culture of school events. We encourage our students to understand the history and geography of the country they live in, and so hold celebrations for all major Bangladeshi festivals and events such as Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year), Ekushey Feburary (National Language Day) etc.

Our school also has two main events throughout the year-

Springdale International School Olympics  :

Compared to a traditional annual sports day, the Springdale International School Olympics is held in October and is a thrilling 2 days experience for students, faculty and families. The entire event is student-led, with the student council and student committees leading, organizing and planning the implementation of the activities. These range from highly competitive dodge ball, ultimate frisbee and athletic relay races to the more cooperative jump rope and dance performances. At middle school the focus is on team-building and cooperation while things will become more competitive in high school! It is geared to be one of the highlights of our school calendar and with cheers, hugs and tears, friendships and memories formed by all.

All School Production  :

In the winter trimester, our attention turns to The All School Production, an extravaganza of singing, dancing and acting. It brings together the hard work and dedication of students, teachers, and parents, from elementary, middle and high school. Students and staff work together on performing, creating props and sets, making costumes, working on lights, sound, hair, make-up, posters, tickets… the list goes on. The work culminates with four performances in the middle of February and is another event in which new skills and talents are discovered while creating friendships and memories to last a lifetime.
